About GRIT
The Growing Resources of Information Technology Conference (GRIT) was created to provide students in Deep Run’s Center for Information Technology with a professional conference experience. With the help of speakers, vendors, alumni, and college representatives, students gain a greater understanding of opportunities in IT and Computer Science. The event offers breakout sessions in Education, Career, and Technology, providing insight into both academic and professional growth within the field.
In 2023, the CIT proudly hosted Dr. Vint Cerf—the Father of the Internet—as keynote speaker for the conference, giving students the opportunity to hear from one of the world’s most influential innovators in technology.
